Book Talk/Signing | First Congregational Church, Eugene, OR

I will read and discuss my critically praised debut novel, “The Garbage Brothers,” and may sing a couple songs along the way. This funny and poignant book tells the story of Jesse Wheeler, a naive 18-year-old whose comfy suburban existence implodes after his father dies, and he finds a job working as a sanitation worker with a crew of felons. The book has received enthusiastic reviews, including 5 stars from the Chicago Book Review. Kirkus Reviews calls the gritty coming-of-age story a “colorful, big-hearted novel.”
